Match Preview PM R16.1 : Kelantan United FC vs Selangor FC


Selangor FC will start the TM Malaysia Cup campaign today against Kelantan United FC at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium at 9 pm.

According to the head coach, Tan Cheng Hoe, not having an away goal advantage is not an obstacle for the team to perform well.

"The mood around the team is quite good so far. The players are highly motivated to face the campaign this time even though the format is quite different but they are still focused on continuing the fight.

For me, every game is important even if there is no 'away' goal advantage. All teams will focus throughout the 180 minutes of action to get a positive result in the match.

In terms of the availability of players for today's Super League match, the Selangor FC team has not yet been able to field Safuwan Baharudin who is still in the process of recovering from a 'mild traumatic brain injury, while Halim Saari who is still in the process of fully recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury (ACL).

In addition, the Red Giants had to forget the services of Sharul Nazeem who was suspended for the match due to being red-carded against Penang FC in the 2022 Super League.
